A puff pastry with ham and mushrooms in a cream sauce. We were assured that it was a Lucerne specialty. Very enjoyable regardless.
Classic cheese fondue (Emmentaler based). We were told that fondue started as a way to use up stale bread.
The local Swiss wine we had. Since it said Gamay on the bottle, I am guessing it was a Beaujolais. Nice, on the lighter side.
Rösti – ours added bacon, cheese and ham. Awesome.
Apparently obligatory chocolate fondue. Served with fruit only, as opposed to how this is often seen in the US.
